YRIART invites you to Timbres of Love, a concert in two parts exploring timbre as a vehicle for emotion, memory and dramatic storytelling.
The first part is devoted to solo piano, with Chris Yonas performing works of expressive intensity and virtuosity: from Scriabin’s mystical introspection to Liszt’s lyrical uplift and Debussy’s vivid imagination.
The second part turns to the voice, with mezzo-soprano Ariadne Mersinias and Dr. Maria Mircheva at the piano. The programme brings theatrical character together with poetic musical expression, from Telemann’s satirical and inventive cantata to the spirited energy of Brahms’s Zigeunerlieder.
An evening in which piano and voice enter into dialogue within a single narrative arc, revealing the inexhaustible shades of love through sound.
